This is the single best website for learning about the Big Island (BI).  Check out the two
forums - one for "Visiting the BI" and one for "Moving to the BI".  This sites contains a little
bit of everything about the BI.:  Culture, history, art, music, as well as the usual travel
information.  Great site!
101 Things To Do
This site is an electronic version of a popular magazine that is typically available for free at
airports on the BI.  Its value is in its timeliness.  It is updated very often, so this is the best
place to find the current phone numbers for just about every attraction and activity offered
on the island.  A hardcopy can be purchased online for a nominal fee.  This is a "must have"
for anyone visiting the island for the first time.

Eye of Hawaii
Excellent site with lots of information about visiting the Big Island:   local events, beaches,
accomodations, attractions, stories & legends, etc.   Created by people who know the island
very well and have much respect for the Hawaiian culture.  Check out the "Do's and Don'ts"
section for tips on how to fit in with the island culture.
Alternative Hawaii
Another online travel guide.  This one is a little different.  Check out the section on "Special
Places."
Big Island Revealed
This is the website for "Wizard Publications", publishers of the best hardcopy travel guide
to the BI:  "The Big Island Revealed, 3rd edition".  This book is a absolute "must have" for
anyone visiting the BI. Reading this book cover-to-cover is probably the best way of
ensuring that your visit to the BI will be a memorable one.  The book is availble for all major
bookstores, including Borders, Barnes & Nobles, and of course Amazon.com.
Volcano Observatory
This USGS site will give you the latest update concerning Kilauea Volcano and the lava
flows. Lava activity has been especially active since May, 2002. Definitely worth seeing,
especially at night.  
Hawaii Beaches
Useful site.  This site contains photos and descriptions of just about every beach that you'll
find on the BI.
Shore Diving
This site contains excellent descriptions and directions to the best diving & snorkeling
sites on the BI.
Golf Courses
A link for information on all the golf courses on the Big Island.
GoHawaii
Another good general site for learning about the Hawaii Islands.  This one has some
interesting video stories.
Kona Country Club
Information on the beautiful Kona Country Club Golf Course & Restaurant.  This golf course
surrounds the resort in which our condos are located.
Keauhou Resort Area
This site describes the attractions, shopping, and accomodations available in the Keauhou
area.  Find out more about the nearby restaurants, the Kona Country Club golf courses,
snorkeling cruises, etc., - all available within a mile or so from our condo.

Greenwell Coffee Farm
The Big Island is known for its coffee.  There are over 200 coffee farms on the island.  
Greenwell is one of the best and offers an informative, free tour of the operations.  Not to
be missed.
