Sunsets along the Kona coast can be spectacular, and are viewable right from the lanai. Deep red
sunsets are common occurances - supposedly aided by the emissions from the ongoing eruptions
from the active volcano on this island.

A view from our lanai looking south toward building #1 and the oval-shaped resort pool. It's nice
being so close to one of the resort's pools and Jacuzzis. The building next to us, building #1,
overlooks the pool, and has a few nice rental units. We prefer the location of our unit in building #12,
however, because it is more private, as our building does not dorectly overlook the pool.

This is a view from the lanai in the early morning, looking directly west. This is also the direction
where you can see the sunset each night. Even though our unit is located several hundred feet uphill
from the ocean, we get fairly good ocean views from the lanai, And the views are actually better in
person than they are in the photos.
