The lanai of unit 5-203 is huge - over 340 sq feet. This is about twice the size of most vacation rental
lanais in the Kona area. The orientation of our unit, facing east, means that we get nice sun exposure on
the lanai in the early morning hours, when temperatures are coolest. However, by mid-morning most of
the lanai is shaded from the sun, which works out great since this is when temperatures start to rise. So,
during most of the day this will be a very comfortable place to relax, listen to the many song birds, or
watch the nearby golfers.

As shown above, the lanai is separated from the living room by almost 30 continuous feet of glass
windows and sliding doors. This is a great design for a condo in Hawaii because it allows for the
maximum amount of light into the living and dining rooms. This is also a feature that you'll rarely find in
any other rental condo on this island.. During most of the day, however, the lanai roof keeps direct
sunlight from entering the condo, so this unit stays cooler than most other top floor units at this resort.
