Kahalu'u beach park, pictured above and below, is one of the best easy-access snorkeling spots in the
Hawaiian islands.  A breakwater located several hundred feet from shore make this one of the safest spots,
as well.  There is a very large assortment of fish in this area, as well as many green sea turtles.  Those who
love to snorkel will appreciate the fact that this wonderful beach park is located only 0.6 miles from our
condo in the Kona Coast Resort.  This makes for a wonderful early morning activity.  After a quick breakfast
you can take a nice stroll to Kahalu'u beach park and swim with the fish and sea turtles.  It's a great way to
start every day on the Big Island!

Kahalu'u Beach is also a good spot to watch surfers and surf paddlers when the surf conditions are
good.
